First round will be singles from the long tees on the West course pitting four, four-man teams against each other. We currently have commitments from FSU, CMU, SVSU and Delta/Cornerstone. Each of the four teams will rank order their four players. All #1s will play in a foursome, all #2s etc. Each player will play a six-hole match-play contest against each of the other three players in the foursome.
Based on the team scores after the singles rounds, the top two teams will play doubles for first and second place, while the other two teams will play doubles for third and fourth on the East Course.
In anticipation of a B team from CMU and a B team from FSU, those two teams of four will go head-to-head playing doubles the first round on the East course, then singles the second round on the West course.
All players will be earning match play points as part of the Cooperative Points Series toward qualifying to compete in the 2017 Michigan Match Play Championships. The field this year will be 32, $1,000 added cash going to the singles winner!!
