I agree with ya Jay B, kind of deflating when one league takes up the top 25 spots with 4 weeks of league play. I would have to win 1st place twice a week with an ace every other week to keep up, which if I could do that I wouldn't be wasting my time with leagues, I would be on the national tour, just sayin...

Well your fears have come true - tChad Hutchison join as a DGLA Player level. I know it's "defalting" or demotivating to see such a difference in point totals but if the leagues you played got as many players as Fallsburg you would be in the same boat. But these guys are beating 70 players a round and that is an achievement. The point system already gives the smaller leagues a boast and limits leagues greater than 60 to a max. One day we hope to have a Singles and a Doubles point seriesand even more frustrating for many leagues is a way to help include handicapped leagues to include them and make it fair. Once that happens we will see more very large leagues. If others want to help out we could add more types of point series to try and make the "divisopns" or types of leagues closer and fair. With one of the major goals to gain more visability of what is goingon around the state and given the big differences between the number of leagues in areas and the types of leagues no one system will provide a single event that is "Fair " to all. The key is to play well often and encourage more players to come out so players have a chance to get max points often - for me that is what Fallsburg is achieveing and congrats to those who consistently earn thier position by beating so many other players. I agree with giving credit where its due but In all "fairness", before signing up and consciously knowing that the micops has a majority of smaller doubles or even mixed format singles leagues, the only thing they have done is find a loophole advantage and exploit it

To add to this and then I'm done, it may be an achievement to get 70 players in a league but what your unaware of is they have the ability to tee off in a 2 hour window. our leagues have one start time and always have. I'm sure if for example Church had a 10am - 12pm window to start rounds you could get more people to join but that is not how it works

There is no point in playing as often as you can as good as you can when someone can play mediocre once a week and still beat everyone who is putting up W's & aces (Jay B). The idea of a point series is lost when one league has a massive advantage over the others. I hope the input helps Foz, much respect for what you do, see ya out there!

If all the players arent all teeing off at the same time isnt that the same as not playing the same round as other players? I mean if someone tees off at 10 am and finishes their round at 1145 and another tees off at 12pm wouldnt that be considered a seperate round same as if a league plays back to back rounds at the same course? ie vienna saturdays?
