DGLA meeting proposal

We would like to provide an opportunity for players to provide feedback and for those who are looking for ways to help an opportunity to explore ways.

We would like to have this meeting next week Monday 28th - Sunday April 3rd - based on the largest number of people who plan on attending.

If you have a date/Time/Location suggestion you can post it and the highest count based on potential participants posts here in the Comment section of the Winter Point Series by this Friday will be the location of the meeting.

The main goals of the meeting are to look at:

Improvements to the Point Series to try next Winter.
Other ideas to help grow and improve the Point Series.
Get others involved with assist and be more a part of the growth and success of the DGLA Point Series.
Gather players feedback, suggestions and comments.

Suggestions so far:

1) Monday Mar 28th at 7:30 right after the Cass Benton Monday league.

Any other proposals or request submit them quickly as voting will end this Friday Mar 25th at Midnight. You can always send comments or suggestions to me (Foz) and I will take them to the meeting but it is always better if you are there in person.

Ok I'm about to update the schedule with all the double points listed here. Thanks for your patience as I took a much needed vacation and was completely offline. Just thought I'd check and see if anyone would like to help out in updating the schedule for Double points in the future or helping with posts and or help grow and improve DGLA and the Statewide Cooperative Point Series.

Ok this is my last outburst of the year. The fact that you're allowing a singles league of that size play in the DGLA point series is absolute bullshit! There is no way what so ever for anyone that doesn't play up there to win. So thanks so much for allowing the rest of us fight for 2nd place and only 1 berth. Congrats to the winner Chad. You are the first person in the state to already have a state birth for next year. You've won the DGLA point series and let me be clear that I'm not mad at you at all cause you're just playing the game and the system allows this to happen. Honestly I wanna see if you can hit some crazy number like 15,000 points by the end of the winter. But for the rest of us out there that don't play up there lets battle it out all winter and see who will come out victorious. Happy New Year fellas and happy discing!

So thanks to several of you who notice the points calculations were not as previous and posted and posting your constrictive observations - The MiCPS is a cooperative effort and your collaborative effort are appreciated. I have enables the best two rounds per week and so some of you may notice "Drooped" rounds for your lower point total rounds than your two best rounds in a given week Sunday - Saturday. Also the Boast for small leagues and the Cap for large leagues of 60+ players was enabled by Pete recently. Both are now active and the leaderboard is automatically updated each time a league posts a round. Also we are now past the deadline for becoming DGLA Player level members competing for MDGO Discraft Mi State Championships berths and awards based on your standing compared to the other DGLA player level members. These Players get Winter and Summer season for their $30 and given that we award the top 40 player or 40% means again this season everyone will get something back and another chance in the Summer for no additional $ - Bonus!. Note there are three others who are Player level but have not had a round posted so they do not show up yet. Still 4 days left to add leagues so post here in the Comment section or send me a message if a league you play does not show up on the MiCPS About page to get your max points of each league round you play this Winter. ********* Important date *******
December 15th 2015 - DGLA Player level registration cutoff - Get both Winter & Summer for same price.....
December 20th 2015 - deadline for adding new leagues to the Point series.

Special Point Details

Cold temps - Double Points - To encourage play during the coldest days of Winter - Temps at or below a "Feels like" (with wind chill) temp of 15 degrees F.

Snow incentive - Double Points - <<<Changed this year to Try based on Player suggestion>>> - If an average of 2" of snow falls during the round (average over course) then double points.

We also tried last year Coldest Round & Deepest Snow Round of the season for Triple points - Based on the post in the Comment section the coldest and deepest snow will be determined and retroactively for that round Triple Points will be awarded - Determined at the end of the season. This will not affect weekly and monthly leaderboards.

IMPORTANT
For all the above - Round must be reported by posting a comment in the Mi Cooperative Point Series Comment page with the League Name, Date of Round, along with either Temp or Snow details - within two weeks of the round being played. I will manually update the schedule and the points will be re-calculated. Note if you want the extra points to be taken into account for the weekly and monthly stats - Leaderboards, post quickly - the leaderboards lock on the last date of the period (i.e. weekly, monthly) and are not re-calculated.
If you think your in contention for Coldest temp or Deepest snow post those details and this will be determined at the end of the season based on the posts.

We trying adding also Snow incentive - if 2" of snow is on the ground (average over course) then double points.
It has been mentioned it should have to fall during the round. What is your view?

What are your views. What would be a good incentive for those who take on the Mi Winter elements and encourage more Winter Disc Golf Play?
