Brian Gutzwiller will be the TD for States. It will be a two day event like 2013. Two rounds at Kincaid, two rounds at PC. A three day event with Hilltop, Kincaid, and PC is the best format to designate our divisional state champions. However, it is more fiscally responsible to do a two day event. When we are more unified as a membership to supporting a three day event and can raise sponsors for it, then we can discuss it at that time.

my 2 cents..... Kincaid is the only Championship level course in Alaska. Meaning cement and alternate tee pads. As well as alternate pin locations. Again please take this as my opinion. I am not trying to get take a jab at anyone or pass judgment on any groups of people. Just an opinion.

Thank you for the input Thad. We shall see where this takes us...haha. And I think with some good alternate pin locations at PC and some work, we can up PC's game a bit. At least that's a goal to shoot for.

Last time I checked Fly pads are Majors approved and according to PDGA standards it's fine . We are adding more pins this year and Terra Walks are in our future . I know it was intended as a jab but it's cool because your opinion only matters to you .

Murgatroyd, I said that was my opinion. I think that my opinion does matters. I don't like the "bully" tone of your response. Why don't we put this to rest..... $100 Thad vs Thad at PC! you bring your whole bag, I'll bring only bunch of putters. Loser pays up and doesn't post on the scene for a year!

I will do 8 hrs either way but same bet you putters me my bag but at Hilltop Red Course. If your truly a superior player a AM Master should be easy pickings for you on such a simple course as Hilltop . I won't be installing it til atleast May buti'm game

We can nominate a 2nd to assure the person does the 8 hrs of course work . You will do yours at either the Pretzel or Gist courses and me at either Kincaid , PC or ever Alcantra . It's not realistic to drive 10 hrs to work 8 so we will have this bet benefit our local courses.

I donu2019t think anyone was scared away, however maybe they just now see a bigger picture for dics golf here in Alaska. To waste one valuable free time and effort on anything other than something positive is not in the best interest of the disc golf community or in achieving the fun one experiencesu2019 playing it. One can find pros and cons with every disc golf course ever built, anywhere. The main thing that we all should be doing is to support every course and or club in any way we can to help make them better. I for one do not play but I do support anyoneu2019s effort to enhance the sport of disc golf. There is more than one championship course here in Alaska. Hope you all have a great day. It is time for me to get back to work making disc golf better.

I think he did get scared off, cause Thad has challenged many people to play him for money (myself included) and someone finally accepted and he backed down. That's the only part of this I am seeing. Everyone has their opinions and there's no pint arguin about em cause neither are gonna change. But the fact someone called him out from behind the keyboard and he backed down, is awesome

Ok, that's enough! I'd appreciate if you'd stop poking the beehive Jake. Gunther expressed an opinion and Murgatroyd defended a course that he is passionate about and has spent many of his personal hours improving it. Far more then any of our members. Personality issues aside, let's leave it at that. This post was about States and the TD which has spiraled in to an area that is not conducive to bettering our sport, each other as competitors, or our community. This goes for everyone...leave your personality disaprovals and catty BS on your own profile pages and off of Alaska DIsc Golf Associations club business communications. THANK YOU.
