States (currently 8/14-15, TD: Adam K)
• 2 day or 3 day tournament? Different opinions across membership. To be included in survey
• Suggestion of moving the date to coincide with back-to-back weekends with King of the Hill
• interested pros (Prodigy team) in coming to AK
• course prep for states would coincide with course prep for other tournaments, high expectations for volunteers helping to get courses ready
King of the Hill (July 4)
• Pros interested in coming, none confirmed
Alcantra, Rally in the Valley (July 10)
• would be shifted to Jailhouse wknd if accommodating States to follow Hilltop
• From Rick: Hilltop has offered Alcantra the opportunity to use the course/facility to run their tournament if their club is interested
Jailhouse
• would be pushed back to later in season (closer to past dates) if dates for other
Hilltop
• submitting multiple bids for major events: worlds, masters, pros
• letter of memorandum to be drafted
Volunteers
• volunteer sign up sheet to be drafted (ways to help with tournaments)
Questions for date changes (to do before next meeting and discussed by membership)
• Is Prodigy’s presence dependent on date change for States? Will they come to King of the Hill anyway?
• Discuss schedule with Tre and Josh
Parks Master Plan
• plan to improve many recreational centers and parks
• discussions with the municipal landscape designers, encouraged to apply to the parks renovation challenge grant where volunteers add up hours
