Secretary Position Open
I'd like to expand on the election news posted yesterday. My name will not be on the election ballot. I prefer for someone else to step up to this position. Duties include documenting quarterly-monthly meetings (depending on frequency). This requires about 4-12 hours per year as meetings have averaged 30 minutes since March 2014 and have never exceeded an hour since January 2014.
I am making a plea for someone who knows how to type-email-post to contribute a small amount of energy to the ADGA. I have spread myself thin between responsibilities that exceed my typical work requirements as I am currently President of my union and will also be applying for a graduate fellowship program that will start later in 2015. This requires coursework, research, and direct service provision. All and all this will require at least 10 hours per week from me. Ask not what the ADGA can do for you, what can you do for the ADGA. This is a great way to stay in the know. Nominations accepted through Sunday, Dec 14. Electronic ballots will be emailed to current members Dec 15.
