Hello everyone! I want to let you all know that Larry Kirk will be in town again this weekend. For those of you who aren't familiar with Larry he's the guy who's played a course in all 50 states. In fact, he's done it twice. This time around he's going for a Guinness Book World Record (most DG courses played in 365 days). He's also doing a 50 in 50. In other words, his objective is to play 50 States in 50 days. He's beginning this epic journey right here in AK. He arrives late tonight and will be joining us at PC on Saturday and very likely on Sunday. His 50 in 50 begins on Monday before he leaves here heading to HI. Should he complete his goal he'll end up at the USDGC's in October.
A few more things:
1) If you can offer up a place for him to stay, he'd greatly appreciate it. Again, he gets in late Friday night and leaves on Monday. I've met him before. He's a great guy.
2) If anyone has a beater of a vehicle that he can use, he'd greatly appreciate that too. He'll cover the fuel costs. I know this one is a far fetch but I said I'd ask.
3) Lastly, he'll have some custom stamped 50 in 50 Roc 3's, Destroyers and another disc. I can't remember at the moment. He's asking $25 each. Please keep in mind that the sell of these discs will help fund his journey. You can help make a difference by purchasing one. Or two. Or three...
