A note to Geoff, Tree and others: Next June the field will be expanded to 32 with $1,000 going to the winner. Players can earn points toward qualifying by playing events sanctioned by the Michigan Match Play Association. Clubs that join for the $200 fee will be able to send up to four players to the championships. Member clubs can also host their own match play events so that their own players can earn points.players unaffiliated with a club can join the MiMPA for $50 and then pay all events for free. The 3rd Michigan Match Play Championships will be hosted by a member club and will be a two day event to be held the last weekend in June.
