Any word yet as to the resolution of permit and insurance? What course is plan 'b' in case city and insurance fees to spending or unable to be gotten? Thank you as I'm sure others are wondering or need to know where to head to.
Where do you want the money to come from guys? It is no ones fault that the city sprang these requirements on us at the last minute. We are doing everything in our power to make this work, and not take money away form anyone.
i want the club to take the money from overhead and not from players. the club is suppossed to be a non profit and is supposed to give back to the community. when and where does tht factor come into play. the take is 40 percent at league events, the club pays no more than 8 dollars a disc then sells ...

as a very active memmber of CCDG b4 there downfall ive seen this before and ive said it b4 communication is key. the city does have the right to wave the fees if the communication is there and approached at the right angle. time to get some new people in charge of this club that can take it in the right direction! sickens me to see where CCDG has gone to!!!!!
We aren't paying the city any fees! We have to have insurance, which has nothing to do with the city, other than the fact that they require it. They don't provide it. If you'd like to take a look at the club funds here you go: http://www.capitalcitydiscgolf.com/doc/minutes_2013-05-07.pdf It's all public, nothing to hide.
this insurance thing happened at the vibram thing at cascade a while ago. we all just played as "friends." sounds like the club is working hard on this, but i'm wondering why the insurance issue was "sprung" so suddenly? i knew about it and i am one of the least connected pe ...

this insurance thing happened at the vibram thing at cascade a while ago. we all just played as "friends." sounds like the club is working hard on this, but i'm wondering why the insurance issue was "sprung" so suddenly? i knew about it and i am one of the least connected people around here and also what people would call socially retarded. excited for saturday, and ashamed to be enjoying the drama!
Kayla or any one else that knows, What city and or park ordinances are being referenced that cover the need of a permit and insurance. Would be good to see this information and get down to details instead of hear say. Thanks for the efforts and hope someone has this information to present to us all. Thanks again and when we know this we have a better idea exactly what we need to deal with.
again people hello! i once was a very active member at ccdg and this has happened in the past although the people in charge knew the right questions to ask and knew lagistics of this. all the fees and and insurance can be waived ... unless CCDG has pissed off the city like thay have "TALOALI" ...this is what forces change
You cannot 'waive' insurance. Everything has been handled so that is that. Having insurance for events is something that has never been enforced by the city until now. Now we know, and we are prepared for future events.
Steve, this is coming from the City of Salem. No idea what ordinances, you can look that up if you would like. CCDG has resolved this issue, I cannot speak for any other clubs.
Thanks for info Kayla but thought that should be available and handy if they are enforcing any ordinances. What are they basing it on that they told CCDG as to what rules they were enforcing? If they are requesting compliance then they should be stateing what they are requesting compliance of. Hope this makes sense and thank you.
I don't think it has really been enforced in the past for one reason or another. When going through the process of getting permits and reserving the course it came up. All events that take place in City of Salem parks are required to have insurance. It's not just CCDG, or just disc golf. It's just an unfortunate side effect of doing things by the books.
As of right now, the Jackpot IS happening. We will keep you informed of any changes.
hmmmm.
let me guess... entry payed to play is paying for the insurance?
It is cap city....

I don't have the energy to respond to the rest of the made up claims you mentioned.

Perhaps the recent complaints @ Woodmansee that the City received are related to this...
perhaps the ongoing illegal acts of ccdg at cascade for years is what braught this on...
