In case you have a few minutes to help improve one of our great local courses I wanted to ensure everyone knew about this opportunity. Hudson Mills Metropark, along with the Boy Scouts of American, many local players and the Disc Golf League Association (DGLA) are working together this Saturday (9/15) to help remove the invasive species Autumn Olive from the Disc Golf courses. There are 80 boy scouts and 15 parents signed up to help this Saturday. DGLA is helping by putting on a Disc Golf Clinic for the Boy Scouts before they begin to remove the Autumn Olives that were marked last weekend.
If you'd like to assist Jerry Chillson and myself with the Disc Golf clinic from 9:00 until 10:00 or help the Scouts remove the Autumn Olives from the course from 10:00 to 12:30 your efforts go to help two great causes. For the Disc Golf Clinic contact me (Foz). For both activities meet at the Hudson Mills Activity Center.
Chilly also provided this link for the Boy Scouts "Disc Golf in support of Scouting".

Do you have your Disc Golf Merit Badge?
If not come out and earn one along with a lot of other people and players who want to give back and ensure we continue to have some of the best Disc Golf courses in the world, right in our local parks.
