14 players. No aces but MrDger hit the top of 13's basket for a couple metal mania dollars.
Waymon and I face off against RyanD and Walton Satcher (open winner at Kennett Square last weekend) and we started on 6. A couple of quick birdies (7 & 9) and at the first turn we were ahead by 2. They birdied 10 and never gave back the tee pad. But Waymon and I played solid. His drives and upshots were working and my putting was on. After the 2nd turn it was tied. On to the field holes. They birdied 3 long to take a one stroke lead. Last hole was 5A. RyanD's drive was about 30 ft away and both of their putts sailed past the basket. Waymon's drive was pin deep but on the road and we had to straddle putt to get through the trees. Nailed it for a deuce! They missed the straddle comeback and that's all she wrote. We won with a 49.
