week 27 recap

A couple of touring pros in town for the Patapsco Picnic joined us for doubles last night. Brad Williams (1012) ranked 4th in Texas and Tony Ganger (998) 3rd Indiana. These guys can huck it and Brad has Gawler-like distance. Look for them to bring it this weekend.

I had a work meeting and couldn't stay for the whole round...but I stayed for a bit. As I was on I95 racing to the meeting I realized I still had the cash. I called Joel and he covered for me. Thanks Disc Outfitters!

14 players. Brad teamed up with Bill and declared their duo the BB team. Bill says "That works because I'm Bill Boyd...and I built Rockburn". When they got to 18 Bill assumed C and played it long. When they finished Bill assumed 44 couldn't be beat, split the cash, and left before all the cards were in. A 2 stroke penalty for playing the wrong (harder) basket put them at 8 down.

League leaders Peyton and Waymon also came in at 8 under and should've tied. They've agreed to forego the cash and take a green star instead. That's Waymon's 2nd win a row.

Nobody hit an ace so we'll leave ace-run alley (13 old B, 14A, 15A) intact for another week. The pot starts around $50.

See you next Wednesday. 4:45 (liberal) draw.
