Great crowd last night! 23 players. Patrick O'neill cleaned out his fridge and brought free sodas.
Greg W and I faced off against BB and Tangfoot and started on 9. We took the pad and a good back and forth battle ensued. Tangfoot hit a 50+ foot bomb on 12 and BB's putting was hot. At the turn we still had a one stroke lead. They made up 2 strokes on 3 and 4 to take the lead by one. It was getting dark by the time we got to our last hole, 8C. They still had us by one and had a couple of nice drives up the fairway. My partner, a lefty, tossed a sweet backhand hyzer and put it in the opening at the top of the hill. Couldn't really see the basket from there but when my aviar hit the chains we knew it was in. BB folllowed up with a 30 footer from the rough and we finished with a tie.
ChrisZ and Ox started on one and smoked the front nine. They deuced 1,3,5,6,7 and 9. A lackluster one over on the back and they finished with a 49.
Service and Jerry Urban had seven deuces but took a 4 on 15. They finished 2nd with a 48, good for $5 apiece.
Rickster and 7 had seven deuces and no 4s. A 47 was good for 1st place and $31 apiece. Looking at the scorecards I found it interesting that the top 2 cards both started with deuces and 6 of their 7 were on the same holes; 1,3,5,6,13,17.
The coveted CTP visors went to Kelly, hole 3, and Stockman, hole 11.
21 of 23 players got in the ace pot and its at $26.
Thanks to everyone that came out. See you next Wednesday. 5:30 draw...Sharp!
