The fairways at Big Bend were roughed in this past Nov. My goal is to have baskets in the ground before Memorial Day. The course connects two campgrounds, and is very wooded. No wide-open holes. Several are long and tight, taking advantage of gradual changes in elevation. Water definitely comes into play on two of the holes--tournament basket placements on those holes each add about 50 feet to each hole in a precarious location with a 30' drop off to the river behind....
I've sent out a request to the MDGO for clubs/individuals to sponsor holes. I will match you or your clubs $200 donation to sponsor a hole, and for that donation, your club gets a berth. Clubs/sponsors have until May 1st to sponsor a hole and secure a spot. After that, all remaining berths will go those who pay first.
