Week 16 of the 2026 Deer Lakes League season delivered another night of strong competition, highlighted by impressive winning scores and the continuing saga of the birdie pot. In the Open division, Chase Zimmerman put together a stellar -12 (54) to claim the victory and $18, holding off Matt Rosier, who finished second with a strong -8 (58). Reegan Hanley led the Advanced division with an excellent -10 (56) to secure first place, while Hank Lilienthal topped the Intermediate field with a sharp -9 (57). In Recreational, Jesse Knotts earned the division win with a +5 (71), and Savannah Filander captured the Recreational Women's division title.
The birdie pot story took another unbelievable turn this week. For the fourth consecutive week, someone successfully hit the birdie pot, but once again the player hadn't paid in, meaning the payout went unclaimed and the pot will continue to grow. With each passing week, the potential prize gets even bigger, adding more intrigue to the race for the next payout. Matthew Zimmerman added a highlight of his own by winning the Hole #15 CTP and taking home $11.
