Week 12 of the 2026 Deer Lakes League season featured the annual Memorial Day Special, with players returning to the Blue tees for a unique challenge and a shakeup from the usual layout. The tougher setup made scoring a little harder to come by, but several players rose to the occasion. In the Open division, Micah Beideman navigated the long layout better than anyone, posting a -9 (57) to earn the win and $27. Sammy Cohan claimed the Advanced division title with a solid -2 (64), while Colter Ritsch topped the Intermediate field with a +1 (67) to secure first place. In Recreational, Jai Singh put together a strong round of +5 (71) to capture the division victory.
Despite the return to the Blue tees, no aces were hit and the birdie pot once again survived another week, continuing to build. Chris Lachendro added one of the highlights of the day by sticking his third shot on the par-5 Hole #9 to win the CTP and take home $20.
