Week 1 of the 2026 Deer Lakes League season is officially in the books, and the new season got off to a blazing start with some impressive early scores. In the Open division, Chris Lachendro set the tone for the year right away, firing a scorching -12 (54) to claim the first win of the season and $22. The Advanced division featured an immediate battle at the top, with Jared Fechter and Jesse Kummer both matching -12 (54) rounds to share the first-place finish and split the payout. The Intermediate division also opened the season with a tie at the top, as Molly Moore and Hank Lilienthal each carded strong -11 (55) rounds to take the Week 1 win. In Recreational, Mike Piroch kicked off his season in style, shooting -3 (63) to earn the division victory. No aces were hit and the birdie pot was not claimed in the season opener, so both will carry over to Week 2, while Matt Malcolm picked up the Hole 17 CTP for $17.
