But what would make it better for you and for the sport in Michigan? I'd like to hear more on what would be cool for those who can dream of more. More about what motivates you or what would be cool to get more people out playing together more often.
What if we could satisfy the two typical groups. Those who like to be a part of things but don't need anything more and don't want to pay anything and those who want to compete for something more....?
For the later group what if there was something like a side big league or club - those who join the club are in for the prizes at the end of the season and those who don't want to join just continue to play their regular league rounds and enjoy like always? Maybe two Leader board - The master board with all players so you see everyone playing all over the state and then a members leader board for those who are competing against the other members for the payday!!
Also I saw the post about Vienna - and had a message as well. I exchanged messages with Ryan and he mentioned that Chris does all the posting. Their league schedule does indicate that the rounds end in Dec 2011 and the next scheduled is in July 2012. It would be great if the league plans were posted so everyone knows. There is a deadline for leagues to post old rounds so that no one is surprised at the end of the season.
I don't have any more info concerning Vienna Sunday Dubs winter league.
You know DGS makes it a lot easier to run leagues and communicate and connect ect. but it is still some effort and everyone needs a break. It is really helpful to have a few people who can help out and share the load. If everyone is still playing on Sundays through the winter maybe you all can discuss if someone else should post to help out so that those who live in the area can still get more points, more often. If the league is not playing then start a new league and post the remaining rounds. There are probably more options - just need to talk with the people who show up and play.
