We celebrated the New Year with a round of disc golf on a cold night & snow covered course last Thursday at Bandemer. A smaller group of 16 players came out and powered through the tough conditions during a Red-Red layout, which lead to a tie for first & second cash. Clauder/Oid & Thelen/Joseph both finished with -14 scores & decided to split the payout evenly. There was a 3-way tie for last cash between Sprow/Krumm, Quiton/M.Fleming & Weilacher/Mark, all teams shooting -13. The three teams decided to donate the $10 payout back into the ace pool.

We want to extend a special & HUGE thank you to Joe Arnet, who donated one of the biggest gifts that WC Glow League has ever received. Joe, being part of the Detroit DevOps (detroitdevops.com) non-profit was able to donate a 9-pack of UFO Basket Lights from Disc in the Dark (discinthedark.com). We gave these lights a test run last week during the league round & they worked really well!

The league round tonight (Jan. 7th) will be held at Bandemer with weather conditions looking half way decent. Temps are predicted to be a little above freezing all night & there is no precipitation forecasted during the round. I’m guessing the course will be a little sloppy due to the snow melt, but the pads should be in good shape. Have a good day & we’ll see you all at Bandy tonight!
