Week 6 was the coldest of this league season. We had a strong A Pool showing while many of our smarter/less disc-addicted B and C Pool players decided to wait this one out. Can't blame em! It was cold and gusty.
The elements didn't seem to bother Beckner. He dropped another heater shooting -11 (unofficially 1009 rated) with no bogeys. Naz in B Pool had the second best round on the day. He matched Beckner in birdies (11!) but threw in two bogeys and one double to finish at -7 (956 rated).
To round out the A Pool cash line there was a 3-way tie of Killian, Sramdaddy, and Purpero at -6 (943 rated). Speaking of Purpero... He cleaned out the meager ace pool this week with what must have been a SPECTACULAR throw to nail hole 10 (1 red). That's the sole ace for that position in Dan and I's tenure as league directors. League aside, I've never even heard of ANY aces on that one. Way to go Anthony!
The other cash winners in B Pool were Britton and Cody who split the 2nd place pot in a 4 player field (quite the drop off from the 11 players who played in B Pool in week 5).
In C Pool, Jeremy and Matt had another battle with Jeremy taking the W comfortably at +3 compared to Matt's +8.
We're taking next week off for sanctioned leagues. Instead, come on out to ADGA's Aces and Antlers event at the Moose Lodge on 12/13! Details here:
