Last week our at the annual ADGA Frozen Turkey Tourney we collected over 400 pounds of frozen bird and cured ham, plus we raised $300 in cash for the St. Francis Food Pantry. Thanks to all of you who came out!
In terms of the competition, we awarded trophies for the following ratings based divisions:
RAH Blue [rating <970]
RAD White [rating <935]
RAE Red [rating <900]
RAF Green [rating <850]
RAG Purple [rating <800]
Scott Johnson took the overall W at -5 (984 rated, 59 points above the division cap) and the RAD trophy honors. He did by carding 6 birdies and only one bogey. Two players matched or exceeded his birdy count but nobody got close to his bogey rate. Nice clean playing, Scott!
Pete took the W in RAH and coped his own turkey trophy with a -4 (973 rated, 3 points above the division cap). Pete had the most birdies on the day with 7, but he also carded 3 bogeys.
Craig Maguire took the W in RAF shooting -1 (942 rated, 92 points above the division cap) with 5 birdies. Wowza, get this guy a PDGA number stat!
Loren took the W in RAE shooting +1 (921 rated, 21 points above the division cap) with 4 birdies.
Jeremy Lukas took the W in RAG shooting +10 (827 rated, 27 points above the division cap) with 1 birdie.
Thanks to all those who came out and supported the cause! We hope you come out to another league round! No aces were hit in week 4, so our league ace pot continues to grow!
For Week 5 we'll be playing a 20 hole layout at the Goon. It will be the standard yellows first (for holes 1-9), then reds (for holes 10-18). Holes 19 and 20 will be played as follows:
-Hole 19 plays from the tee pad of hole 6 to the yellow basket of hole 7 (this is a long par 3)
-Hole 20 plays from the tee pad of hole 8 to the yellow basket of hole 9 (this is a par 4)
-Players should play holes 19 and 20 after completing hole 18 (hole 9 to the red basket)
I'll be at the course to explain in the morning if folks have questions. Hope to see you out there!
