Thank you to all frisbee philanthropists who came out for the Food Bank Flex yesterday at Raptors. Two headlines from the day:
1. PERFECT October weather
2. We raised $469.25, which we are matching for a total of $938.50 for Langley-Aldergrove Food Bank!

Beyond the headlines, into the details:
A total of 29 competitors came out for this Thursday event. Lenny Novak took the win by 4 strokes over the rest of the field, shooting a -9 on a mixture of red/blue/gold tees (rated 1009)
Lenny was one of six competitors joining the $10 side bet, taking home $40. Cole Cochran and Judah Hawkes played off for 2nd place in the side bet and the remaining $20.
We had three giveaway prize holes:
- Hole 9 was a standard CTP
- Andy Novak drove to within 1’ for the prize
- Hole 3’s contest was worst shot (or, “closest to tee”)
- Shauna Carothers took the prize here with a 90’ drive off the tee and a TOUGH location for the subsequent scramble
- Hole 18’s contest was “closest to disaster” (or, closest to OB fence without going over)
- Zachary Thiessen perfectly placed his disc balancing across the OB line. Paul McBeth couldn’t have done it better!
