I’m of a differing thought… if truly ‘pace of play’ was a concern would not all divisions have a chance to ruin pace of play and thereby ALL divisions play a shorter layout ? Is pace of play really ‘nice code’ for ‘based on history or our forethought we think this division cannot play this hole in par as designed’. So I call it dumb’d down or made simpler for a group of players we think cannot play the hole as designed. Convince me otherwise by having everybody play these holes shorter. I have been to many tournaments as a repeat player and see shorter courses, more simpler courses offered to play for the MA divisions and lower skilled divisions. There is a subset crying for these changes. I am on the side not crying. Just my 2 cents worth.

I remember when MPO played this layout for MCO several years ago. Both holes averaged over par. Definitely not good for pace of play during AM rounds. MP40/50 average above par also. Come join us in MP40!
