VOLUNTEER SPOTS
[UPDATED TO CLARIFY HOW WE WILL HANDLE A SITUATION WHERE MORE PEOPLE SHOW UP THAN WE HAVE SPOTS AVAILABLE.]
We have 17 spots (unpaid) available on a first come / first served basis, to those who complete 2 work days. We expect significant demand for those spots this weekend. Those who attend Saturday will have priority over those who attend only on Sunday. If demand exceeds supply, we will do a random drawing for the spots before we begin work that day. In the case that you are not selected in the random drawing, we understand if you do not want to stay.
Example 1: 15 people attend on Saturday who want a volunteer spot and agree to complete their 2nd work day. Those 15 people will have a claim on 15 of the 17 remaining volunteer spots. We would then have 2 available going into Sunday. If 3 or more additional people attend on Sunday (looking for a volunteer spot), we would do a random drawing (before work begins) to determine which 2 people would have claims on the 2 remaining spots.
Example 2: 20 people attend on Saturday looking for a volunteer spot. In that case, we would do a random drawing (before work begins) to determine which 17 people would have claims on the 2 remaining spots.
