COURSE UPDATE
I just walked the course, and despite the storm, the course has held up pretty well! There are naturally a lot of small branches scattered around, but we hope to have tees, fairways, and greens clear of most of these by Saturday.
There are some large trees down on holes 6, 7, and 8, but these do not affect the fairway or the standard flight to the green. They are, however, blocking typically walking paths. Park staff and volunteers will be working to clear them by Saturday, but they also have multiple other parks to take care of, so not all may be clear in time. Even before the damage, we did not necessarily recommend the use of a cart at Great Seal, but this recommendation is even stronger now.
We are not forecast to receive any more rain, and standing water is already very limited, so that should present no issue at all. We will play hole 14 as standard.
If you are practicing this week, please take caution! Park staff may be on-site using chainsaws and other equipment, and there will likely be trees, branches, and other obstacles for most of the week. Nevertheless, it looks like we are in good shape to have a great event!
