Just sent an email to you guys. Had to drop the event, sent in a request to withdraw well before registration closed last week (sent in a second request after reg closed just to see if that would get a response) and finally got a refund after a week of waiting, only to see that it was a quarter refund. In comparison, I dropped two A Tiers, Auburn Open and San Francisco Safari, just days before the events started, and got a full refund on short notice. And yet for this event, I get partial refund for submitting my request on time?? I would like for this to be made right and have no problem filing a complaint to the PDGA so I can get a full refund. If I could get a response out of anyone, that would be great. Thank you.

I’m sorry you feel this way. The cutoff for refunds was clearly stated when it opened for registration. I didn’t have to refund at all but your first request was sent 6/16 and the second was 6/18. Both within days of today as I was putting together the rest of the tournament pulling things together. I will admit that 6/15 and after I have not been watching as I have placed a restriction on the refunds.

Pretty disappointing to hear, considering the other TD's of events I had to drop (Auburn, UFOS, Steady Ed, and Safari) all gave me full refunds on shorter notice because of the uncertainty of my injury. I guess I got my expectations too high from those 4 previous events. I gave the most time notice on this event. Curious on what the PDGA will say about it. And I'm sorry, but I don't know if I agree with that as an excuse for the lack of communication, as other TD's were very quick to act. Again, my expectations were a bit too high apparently.

You are more than welcome to contact PDGA. I have had a 2 week prior to event for refunds for 3 years now. There has not been any problems before. PDGA will look at time stamps of all that was requested and when the requirement was placed. You were not the only one as well. Expectations should also include reading the refund policies when registering and requesting refunds.

I got it now, so you can't let the other MPO players who are asking to play the event sign up because then, you'd have to give full refunds to the ones that had to drop. No disrespect intended, but I disagree with closing registration 2 weeks early. I get that it's in the PDGA refund policy, but that's not a favorable way to handle the wailist/withdraws from a player's perspective. Good luck on the event

Player registration has closed, go read the PDGA rules regarding refunds. Your a PDGA player you should know the rules. Players who request withdrawal within 48 hours of the start of play, or who request withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, are not entitled to a refund. If a TD fills a player’s spot with a player on the waitlist at the time of withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, but more than 48 hours prior to the start of play, that player must receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee.
