Welcome back King James from his best ever finish at the Memorial Championship. Getting some cash with his 24th place finish. Beckner took down leagues again this week. He's played leagues twice this session and won twice. His drives were so-so, but his putting was great. We had 9 players in A pool and 7 players got paid out. 4th place was a 4 way tie at -8 and paid out a whopping $1.63 each. A pool was the only group to shoot above their collective rating (by 0.89 points).
Also congrats to Sramek with his first showing in A pool this series after the mid series promotion. His -8 was his best this session, he went bogey free, and along with Beckner, the only players with a 4 birdie streak (holes 14-17). That $1.63 might even buy you a cookie.
Naz pulled away from the rest of B pool to win with an A pool worthy -8, which was a whopping 64 points above his rating. His $17 payout sure beats the $1.63 those A pool -8s received. Yang earns a holla for his bogey free round. The only non A pool player to do so. Solid performance Mr. Yang.
Lukas found a new rival with the emergence of Thurston this week. Thurston won C pool by two strokes with the only 2 birdies in C pool on their back 9.
Like last week, we birdied every hole again this week. Thanks to solo birdies by D. Allen (12) and J. DelReal (13). Not the only birdie on hole 4, but Purpero earns a shoutout for his birdie after he nearly aced it with the cage hit on his drive.
Basket 2 and 6 dethroned basket 7 as the easiest basket this week. 2 and 6 both averaged .560 strokes under par while basket 7 was .530 under par. Good tag team takedown baskets 2&6. Basket 2 was the only one without a bogey and earns the basket MVP award. Basket 7 did reign with 22 birdies however, 64.71% of all attempts ended in 2 strokes.
No aces in week 6, but Wednesday Night Dubs is tonight. So show up and take some runs at those baskets.
