This question had come up on Facebook and thought I'd share it here for clarification on these events.

I notice the events say “limited payout”. Could you clarify? My understanding is fundraisers would be XC tiers because that classification would be necessary to justify not having payouts for sanctioned events. But I’m of the impression that if payouts happen at all and the events are not classified as XC tiers and just C tiers, then the regulations of minimum % payouts must be adhered to. In other words, I’m unfamiliar with hosts of a c tier being able to choose what percentage they plan to pay out under the claim it’s a fundraiser if it is not categorized as such, so some clarification as to how this will work would be helpful.
