We had the warmest round of 2024 today, but for some reason scores were a bit colder than usual. Maybe we've all gotten used to throwing with extra layers on. On the bright side, we did have a nice crowd of 14 players with 5 players in A pool, 7 in B pool, and 3 in C pool.
Scott annihilated everybody today with a scorcher at -13 (unofficially rated 1018!). Frank was his closest competition shooting a very solid -8 despite bogeying his second to last hole. Big Mike and I tied for first in B pool at -7. Adam Kiess joined the league with about 15 minutes to spare and ended up taking down C pool at -6 which would have tied for 3rd (and cashed) in B pool.
Ratings will update this coming Tuesday and we're likely to see some players move into different pools.
A final reminder - please Venmo Dan Allen (@DanAllen1919) if you want to play next week (2/17) - he'll be running the show solo while I'm out of the country for a bit. We're likely to remain at the Goon but Dan will be sending out another update later this week.
