If the plan was to get more players then it would be kept as a one day, turning it to a 2 day eliminates mailnalders from playing am on Sunday unless I want to get home at midnight and still work the next day not to mention the added cost of taking extra ferries just to get home the same day, also if it stuck with the theme of all the other duck golf's that were 2 day Squamish has am day Saturday, I don't know what the other ones were but if this was am day Saturday you'd have the pros from the mainland complaining instead, also having it 2 days I don't think will increase numbers at all, if you wanted increased numbers make a few ghost holes and have it play slightly slower rather than not only create a headach for players that have already booked accommodations and or rebooked ferries but likely make both days not be full (time will tell on this I guess) and having it be the same numbers regardless due to essentially eliminating mainlanders on Sunday. As an added note if we kept our air B&B Saturday we wouldn't be able to play the course as pro's would be there so then it's even less worth it to keep the air B&B for the weekend, just all around an oversight in my opinion, I hope it all works out and you get the extra numbers you were hoping for.

Statistically, Smith Lake farms is a 1 day on Saturday and hasn't filled and is possibly more doable in 1 day than salt Spring (I haven't actually checked cause I'm busy that day regardless) so having a 2 day where 1 day is literally impossible is done in a plan to get more numbers? Nanaimo discgolf I was able to register like a week or two before the event and get in because there was still space, not many on the waitlist so I'm quite confused on where the idea that a 2 day is benificial, I feel as though one of if not both days won't fill and will be more work for TD/TD's my opinion may be slightly biased due to being excited to play on my birthday at one of my top 5 courses in BC now to not being able to play at all. ????

I'm sorry that splitting the Ams and Pros into two days has inconvenienced you, truly. We will take all this feedback to make next year more transparent wherever possible. This year the Duck Golf events are being facilitated by me, Chance, but each event is run quite independently by the local TDs. Essentially each tournament is mainly for the locals, and people willing to travel, but it is whatever type of format the local TDs think will work best for their area. We might standardize things a little more next year, but we are letting TDs try all sorts of things this year to find what works best.
