it will not be pitch black like at night. The whole process is about four minutes long but it doesn’t stay covered that long.. if you’ve never seen an eclipse before, it’s pretty cool. You can’t actually stare at it while it’s happening anyway it can damage your eyes. But you can look at it briefly when it’s fully covered. You can make what’s called an eclipse box to view it. Would have to look that up online on how to make them. It’s been a long time since I did it.
