Well, our meeting with Orion parks went way better than I could have imagined. Miles and myself met with the park’s superintendent today at Camp Agawam. We have all the funding and a superintendent that wants this course done. So, here is the plan. Saturday I will be making a list of all holes that need to have pads leveled. The parks will get them all level for us. Then I need your help. We are going to organize a work day and get the pad frames laid. Longs and shorts 5x12 pads. We want this to be done before the snow and ground freeze. Once the ground thaws in the spring all pads will be poured. If you play all winter it’s a small inconvenience to have a frame there but it’s totally worth it in the long run. Once the pads are poured all tee signs and directional signs will go up. Hole 17 is going to be lengthened. Hole 16’s pads are moving off the road and up onto the hill. Hole 12 will be lengthened and the pad backed up on the hill behind it’s current location. We also discussed adding additional baskets and collars. They were on board with that as well. First priority is pads and signs though. Please be on the look out for my work day post next week once they have everything leveled. This course is going to be amazing when it’s done. It’s been a very long road but I feel like we are full steam ahead now.
