@patrick P. This is why our sport doesn’t grow. How can it be considered a professional sport when half the people don’t even follow or know the rules. I’ll call anyone out on the rules. It’s a part of the game. And I too, expected to be called out when I fall short of the rules.

Last I checked this isn’t an all am event. I’m literally just stating what’s in the rules. I didn’t make them. You can be upset at me if you’d like. I’m just doing my duty in following the rules that are provided. You missed my point. It’s not that this rule specifically is the reason the sport is being held back. But my point is that if we want the sport to get to a higher tier we must follow what the rules state. Not just the ones we like but the ones we don’t like as well.

I don't think that me asking to play with a guy I'm traveling with in a tournament we already qualified for is the reason the sport isn't growing. I actually think it is growing rather quickly. I do want to stress this though it isn't a big deal if it can't happen I just thought I would ask. I didn't think it would spark such a sensitive debate.

Tanner, I asked the PDGA and this was his response.......Hi Ryan, The groups are supposed to be random, however, we understand TD's accomodations to pair players for the 1st round only.
