Now, for the format.
Match Play. Essentially, A Race to 5. Please consult the rule book for the details as to how this will happen. In my book, it is on page 17 under Match Play. A player wins the hole by scoring better on the hole than their opponent. The winner is the player who is up by more holes than holes remaining. At this point, make your way back to tournament central to await your next opponent.
This is single elimination. Again, because of time.
This format will continue until a winner has been crowned, or, belted in this case. There are prizes for the top 3 finishers.
For those of you who are not participating in the TWIZmania event, you have a choice to make. You can either follow the play as part of the gallery, with no spectator fees. Or, if you don't want to cheer on the other players, you can get a card together and play two rounds from the Red tees.
Cost.
Since it is a CTP Extravaganza night, there is the $5 cost for those choosing to participate. And the ace pool, we have to keep building that. For the extravaganza CTP, it will only be in play for the first round only for both TWIZmainiers and other players. With possible multiple rounds for some, it wouldn't be fair to give more than one chance at the token.
Normal fees would apply to those who are not in TWIZmaina. But for the participants, the only mandatory fee is the ace pool. There will be no other CTPs on Thursday. Just the EXTRAVAGANZA.
The field of battle is Bandemer, Red Tees. Let us hope the course has been mowed. I'll try to swing by tomorrow and check it out.
