MAPLE CITY SPRING LEAGUE AT OX BOW FINALE
It's Championship Tuesday. Here's what you need to know:
1. Please finish your round by 7:30 p.m. No fivesomes.
2. Win a disc golf basket!
3. CTP and Longest Putt prizes for every division and more!
4. Payout calculations for determining the top third in each division are finalized.
5. First time players are still welcome. $7 to play.
The flex start begins at 2 p.m. as usual. Same layout as last week: 1-20 (no 9 or 16, short tee on 4, 8, 12 & 13). It is very important that you finish your round no later than 7:30 p.m. We will need time to calculate final standings in all divisions before announcing champions and the top third in each division. The Michiana Pro Shop Fly Mart will be on hand for you to redeem your gift certificates that night.
WIN A BASKET!
Michiana Pro Shop has donated a Discraft Chainstar Lite to our fundraising efforts. We will have a closest-to-the-pin contest to see who takes it home on Tuesday night. Throws are $5 each, 3 for $10 or 8 for $20. You may purchase as many throws as you’d like. Cash, PayPal and Venmo are accepted. All money collected will go to the course improvement fundraiser.
RULES: The player who’s disc lands closest to the basket will win. Second prize is an annual parking/disc golf pass courtesy of the Elkhart County Parks Department. If there is one ace, that person will be declared the winner. If there are multiple aces, those players will have a throw-off to determine the winner. If a player has more than one ace they will receive an equal number of throws to their aces for the throw-off. Players must be present for the throw-off.
The basket will be set up in the Stable pavilion approximately 125 feet from a temporary tee pad. Players may throw for the basket CTP from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m.
*Anyone who had an ace during the season is entitled to one additional throw on top of any paid attempts. Players must participate in the fundraiser to claim their additional throws.
There will be both CTP and Longest Putt prizes for every division. Find your holes below.

How payouts are determined:
The top third in each division will prize out. All players who paid the season entry, plus any a la carte players who participated in at least four weeks are added together to determine the number of “full time” players in a division. That number is then divided by three to determine the number of paid places from the overall standings. The entry fees from players who participated less than four weeks will be added to the pot after donating their first week’s entry to the fundraiser.
The total entry fee for the season is $30. As was explained in the registration form, $5 is taken off the top for the fundraiser. An additional $8 ($1 a week) is deducted from gross entry fees to pay PDGA and league fees. The remaining $17 per player will be added to the payout in each division. The total prize pot per division is calculated by multiplying the number of "full time" players by 17 and then adding the remaining entry fees from weekly participants. PDGA pay tables are used to calculate the payouts per place in each division and rounded to the whole dollar. Payout amounts will be loaded onto gift cards to be used at the fly mart or Michiana Pro Shop in Wakarusa.
In the Blue Division, where there were no full-season registrations, the payout is calculated by donating the first week’s fee to the fundraiser and then taking the total of all entry fees from the remaining weeks (minus PDGA and league fees) added together to determine the pot.
In the event of a divisional tie for a position, players may use any method agreed up by all tied players to determine how to distribute their payouts.
