Five brave souls came out to play the Reds at Davis twice this past week! It was 3 degrees, but the 3 feet of snow you plunged into when you went off the trails insulated your feet pretty well. JK, no it didn't.
Beckner grabbed the only pool with more than one competitor, with a 51, grabbing the same number of birdies as Boyd and I, but only taking two bogies. Speaking of Boyd, he birdied 3 both times, one on an obstructed 80-foot toss-in, leaning out from a newly downed tree. Hole 9 Red is playing as a par-4 basically, because of the downed tree in the fairway.
Depending on reports from the doubles crew tonight, we'll probably hold Week 6 at Westchester, so that we have a chance to dig out and de-ice the Davis pads for week 7. Slow progress is being made in terms of trampling down the fairways!
