Will ratings update affect what division we can play? Or will we play in whatever division we signed up for? I just seen a few people with ratings higher than the division allows. Oct 11, 2022

Great question! Here is how the PDGA handles it: I pre-registered for an event and my updated rating is now too high for the division I entered. Now what? If you have pre-registered, the TD may allow you to remain in that division as long as the event is within two weeks of the ratings posting date. If you did not pre-register before the new ratings were posted, then you are expected to play in the division (or higher) where your new rating now resides. This only applies to Amateur players registered for amateur ratings-based divisons, it does not apply to a Pro class player taking advantage of the Pros Playing in Amateur Divisions program.
Logan Conley Oct 11, 2022The quick version: If ratings change within two weeks of an event, that player has the option to stay in the same division or move to a lower or higher division based on their new rating.
Logan Conley Oct 11, 2022I will be individually contacting anyone who has this option to see where they would like to play. Thanks
