Good morning. I will send out an official event email tonight.
I've already been getting flooded with questions/concerns in regards to Williamsburg on Monday.
The reality is this, when it rains, every course gets muddy. The idea that Williamsburg is a bowl and if it sprinkles it is under water is
simply not accurate. Whenever there are torrential downpours, the river does flood. There is nothing like this in the forecast between now and then. Like every course, it has spots that can puddle up. We will simply play anything like that as casual and get relief.
In the case that we get enough rain where we feel the need to adjust the layout we will. This would simply be taking out 18 and 19. A local player
is rumored to be putting a rope on hole 14 to help navigate down the steps.
We are playing the WHITE (short) layout to some shorter baskets. The layout is not grueling or hard to navigate even if we get a few pop up showers between now and then. It's summer, the rain comes down and soaks right in.
At this point, I see no reason to panic and drop out. We aren't going to put anyone in any situation that is dangerous. However, if you feel like you need
to withdraw, you need to do so by tonight (Saturday) at 8p for a full refund.
We look forward to a fun round on Monday.
See you soon!
