Its hard on a course like rivers edge where you can wait forever to tee off on hole 1 and there is no good starting point other than there, it should be a courtesy to not jump right infront of another group. I will admit to being someone who has started on hole 9 but i wont jump in if there are multiple cards coming up to it or are waiting. I do it also mainly for daylight reasons..

So tell me how younwaiting on 1 is different then me having already done that then having to wait for you on 9 thru 18 also? Real golf never allows starting on an hole but 1. I get that it’s done but you should never be making people wait for you. Either find a place it doesn’t effect others or wait on 1 like a decent human. If your life doesn’t allow a little flexibility on Wed then maybe do the right thing and not join.

Complaining about waiting but then gonna call out having flexibility? And in real golf you can choose to play only the back 9 so therefor your starting on hole 10. The league has grown to a point that there are just to many people teeing off within the same time frame that everyone starting on 1 isnt as easy as it use to be. Starting on 9 with nobody is no different than having card after card backed up on 1-8.

“With nobody” not what we are discussing. Cuz if people actually did that we wouldn’t be backed up. The flexibility thing is on you not me. Ask to get out early. Ask now for next year. I shouldn’t have to play a 4 hour round so yours can take 3.5 or less. 5 groups of 3 were playing glorious smooth golf last week until 9 when we waited for 3-4 groups. All because of one group of am2 players. Also, yes. Some podunk crap course allow a front or back nine. But they NEVER put you out there in front of someone and slow them down. Now REAL courses with a starter start on 1. And if you hold people up there isn’t even play through. They ask you once to get moving then tell you to leave. I can tell you definitely I have everyone’s best interest here not just mine.

How did you wait for 3-4 groups because of 1 Am2 card? This issue only arises on Rivers Edge. Which we play few times anyway. So just play and have fun. Not worth the complaining. It’s just not realistic to have 80 players tee off only on hole 1 in an hour and expect it to be smooth sailing.

It’s a discussion. And again…. Yet to make anyone wait for me. Ever. I’m seeking a solution and trying to educate on why it’s rude. I waited because they jumped a group 3-4 in front of me so by the time I got there the backup occurred. And then continued for the rest of the round. Pushing us towards darkness. I personally have experienced this at grand woods and renegades.

"Just play and have fun" why don't you take your own advice and just start on hole 1 cheddar. If you don't start on hole 1 you're just flat out selfish and think your time is more important than anyone else's.
