I appreciate everyone’s feedback and I’m sorry to hear of your disappointment. Monday Qualifying has a long tradition of inclusivity and early-week excitement and I believe this year will be no exception.

It is important to note that the minimum player rating to compete in the Open Division in a PDGA Major is 900. This is a PDGA rule and has been the minimum rating requirement to sign up for the Monday Qualifier in the past few years.

According to the PDGA website, there are currently fewer than 80 players rated 1020 or higher and about 400 players rated 1000 or higher worldwide. Many of those players are already qualified for The Championship.

I will be very interested to see at what tier Monday Qualifying fills this year.
