Technically the PDGA has a higher dress code for Majors that you can readily Google but I haven't seen it heavily enforced.

My understanding is that they are allowed during regular preliminary rounds..

You may wear dri-fit or performance wicking material shirts with non-offensive logos during the event. CM 3.04.D.3 specifically exempts those types of materials from the definition of "tee shirt."
