First round of the 2022 Spring/Summer season was kicked off with a mud & water filled course. Luckily the rain held off during the round & we actually had some sunshine with decent temperatures. 20 players came out to Mary Beth Doyle to play a loop of 9 holes to stay closer to the parking lot & out of the woods where conditions were pretty bad. The loop included holes 1, 2, 3 Alt, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18. We played an alternate hole 3 from the abandoned tee pad (across from 4 Long) down to 3’s basket. The layout included long pads during the first 9 & short pads during the second 9, plus we played an alternate hole 14 to 17’s basket instead of 14’s.
Taking solo first place with a -17 score was Selig/M. Magner! Great shooting guys! There was a tie for second & last cash between Chilson/Ms. Vick & Ritchey/Howard with -16 scores. A disc flip decision decided that Chilson/Ms. Vick would walk with the majority of the payout.
Chilly also hit an ace the first night of the season on alternate Hole 3! He took home $79 & added an early 30 points to his league standing. Awesome throw man!
