We had a perfect evening for our Spring/Summer season finale round at Mary Beth Doyle. 27 players came out to play a round of Shorts with CTPs on 9 of the 18 holes. Taking solo first cash with a -17 score was Selig/Evans. This also included an ace by Brian Evans on hole 9, taking home an extra $93, but donating $23 back to the club for the Fall/Winter season start. Great shooting on the night guys & awesome ace Brian! Second & third cash was split evenly by Common/Watts & Brayton/Wolodkin, both teams shooting -14. There was a 3-way tie between Sprow/Chilson, Blansett/Karr & Redman/Wiedenfeld, all shooting -13. A disc flip would decide that Sprow/Chilson would walk away with the last cash.

Our own Scott Sprow finished the season in 1st place by 2 points! It was a battle in the last few rounds, but the ace on Aug. 17th ended up sealing the deal. Congrats Scott on a well played season!!

A threat of rain never really happened for the round at MBD this past week - we are all happy about that! Moderate temps and some sun graced us for the round as we work towards the end of summer.

Thank you to Andrew Herron for donating a Ledgestone hat and Banger GT. Those were used as a CTP this evening.

We had 23 players come out to play with a hot -15 by Chilly/Common taking the win. They were followed by a -13 from Trombley/Sprow, a -11 by Armstrong/Thelen, and winning in a flip for last cash at -10 was Blansett/Howard.

At this point, we are going to plan on league taking place this evening....That of course depends on what this system brings us (lightning and such). I understand some of you drive from a decent distance. I am sorry that I can not give you a better answer at this time.

Great weather for our round at Bandemer. Moderate temps and less humidity made for a nice night. 20 players on the night and we played the BW(alternating) + R(back 9) layout. Hot scores on the night included a -16 from Tschirhart/Sprow, a -14 by Chilly/Karr, and a -13 by Thelen/Wolodkin.

Hello everyone, sorry for this very late notice. I was hoping this weather would pass over our area without a problem. But I am sitting at Bandemer right now with heavy rain predicted all night along with several lightning strikes happening right now. For the safety of everyone, I think it’s best to cancel leagues for this week. Again, sorry for the late notice. I plan on staying at the park for a while to let anyone know that does show up that we’re canceling.

We had a relatively small turnout for our round this week at Bandemer. There was great weather with the acceptation of some thick humidity. 16 players came out to play a R3, B3, W3 + B3, W3, R3 layout. A four-way tie took all three cashing spots. Hanna/Anderson, Drouillard/Perras, T.Magner/Sprow & Herron/Neal all shot -11. A throw off from 1 Blue determined that Hanna/Anderson would take the majority of the payout.

26 players came out for a round of Even Longs - Odd Shorts at Mary Beth Doyle. It was a hot night but we had pretty windy conditions to start the round which helped with the heat. Top score on the evening was a -14 from Thelen/DesJardins, taking solo first cash. Second cash went to Chilson/Binienda with a -13 score. Third & last cash was split evenly between Sprow/Watts, Selig/Armstrong & Fifer/T.Magner, all shooting -11.

Johnny B. aced hole 7 from the short pad!! That’s an awesome hole to get. Great shot! He took home $188 & added 30 points to his league standings.

For once a round at MBD without rain! It was predicted that we were going to get some at the beginning of the round, but it never showed up. We had a rather muggy evening but beautiful otherwise. 21 players came out to throw a round of Odd Long - Even Short which lead to a top score of -14 from Common/Thelen. There was a tie for second & third cash between Krumm/Chilson & Brayton (Cali) with -13 scores. A disc flip decided that Krumm/Chilson would take the majority of the cash. Last cash went to DesJardins/Riddle with a -11 score.

Selig/Bottorff took advantage of these conditions & had an amazing round, shooting -17 & taking first cash! Nice work guys. Second cash went to Sprow/Drouillard with a -15. There was tie for third & fourth (last) cash between Brayton/Howard & Frame/Evans with -13 scores, the decided to split the payout evenly.

23 players came to MBD out for a very hot & sweaty round this past Wednesday evening. Temps were around 90º at tee off with only a little breeze here & there. A top score of -15 from Common/Anderson took solo first cash. There was a 3-way tie between Woody (Cali), Bennett/Neal & Chilson/M.Magner with -14 scores. They decided to throw off to an alternate hole 1 to determine how the last 3 cashing spots would split up. Throw off resulted in Brayton/Ritchey taking the majority of the payout & Bennett/Neal taking the remainder.

Thank you to Scott Sprow for bringing a big supply of cold water for everyone to share. It was a life saver!

We played the Winter Loop x2 with alternate Hole 3 from the abandoned pad by 4 Long. Speaking of which, Scott Sprow ACED for $101 payout! Great shot Sprow! Sprow/Hanna took solo first cash with a blistering -18! Second/last cash went to M.Magner/Ritchey.

We played a RWB - BRW layout at Bandemer that lead to a 3-way tie between Selig/Taint, Hanna/DesJardins & Wiedenfeld/Frame, all shooting -11 & splitting first thru third place cash evenly. There was a 5-way tie between Brayton (Cali), Armstrong/Common, Drouillard/M.Magner, Krumm/Binienda & Chilson/Common for last cash, all with -10 scores. A disc flip decision lead to Brayton snagging the cash.

Top score of the evening was a -15 shot by Brayton/Drouillard, who took solo first cash. Second cash went to Pilon/Sprow with a -14 score. A -13 took third cash from Frame/Jones. Last cash went to a throw off between three teams all shooting -12 scores. Those teams included Common/Chilson, C. Gustafson/Watts & Ms. Vick/Hutchinson with Common/Chilson taking the remaining cash.

Nate Krumm hit an ace on Hole 6 from the Red pad. Taking home $127 & adding 30 bonus points to his league standing.

What turned out as a wet Wednesday turned into not a so terrible Wednesday night. Course was wet and we avoided the muddy conditions on the lower side of the park by playing the winter loop, which is on higher ground and closer to the parking lot.

15 players came out to play with a HOT score of -17 being turned in by Bahakel/C. Gustafson. Right on their heels was a -16 by Krumm/Sprow, and rounding out the last cashing spot was a -15 by Buchannan/ Brayton.

Mary Beth Doyle was in pretty good shape for our round this past Wednesday. We had warm temps with little to no winds. Rather ideal conditions lead to a top score from Selig/Krumm with a -16, taking first cash. Second cash went to Woody/Blansett, shooting -15. Common/Fortune shot -13 & took third cash. Last cash was split evenly by Buchanan/Chilson & Brayton/Ritchey, who both shot -12.

We had a near perfect evening for disc golf this week at Bandemer. Temps were mild with zero wind & clear skies. 30 people came out to play a BWR + RBW layout which lead to a top score of -13 from Fifer/M. Magner, taking first cash. Second cash went to Sprow/Chilson with a -12 score. Howard/Thelen took third cash shooting -11. There was a 4-way tie for last cash with -10 scores. A throw off from 1 Blue resulted in Ballios/Ritchey taking the cash. Other teams in the throw off included Tschirhart/Armstrong, Trombley/Selig & Fortune/Common.

Congratulations to Mike Pilon for hitting an ace on Hole 7 from the Red pad. He took home $106 from the ace pot & added 30 points to his league standing. Great shot Mike!

Looks like it is going to be a wet day for league. Watching radar and such as it makes its way into and across Michigan.

The heavy rain looks like it takes place mostly this afternoon or really late tonight. Chance of storms, which is what we are keeping an eye on. We are planning league for this evening, but as weather is unpredictable, we will have a better understanding/idea of what we are in for a little later today.

Another update will come out this afternoon, around 4:00. At that point we should have a more accurate picture of what we have in store for league. I understand that this might not be ideal, but also gives us a best chance to know exactly what we are getting into.

First round of the 2022 Spring/Summer season was kicked off with a mud & water filled course. Luckily the rain held off during the round & we actually had some sunshine with decent temperatures. 20 players came out to Mary Beth Doyle to play a loop of 9 holes to stay closer to the parking lot & out of the woods where conditions were pretty bad. The loop included holes 1, 2, 3 Alt, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18. We played an alternate hole 3 from the abandoned tee pad (across from 4 Long) down to 3’s basket. The layout included long pads during the first 9 & short pads during the second 9, plus we played an alternate hole 14 to 17’s basket instead of 14’s.

Taking solo first place with a -17 score was Selig/M. Magner! Great shooting guys! There was a tie for second & last cash between Chilson/Ms. Vick & Ritchey/Howard with -16 scores. A disc flip decision decided that Chilson/Ms. Vick would walk with the majority of the payout.

Chilly also hit an ace the first night of the season on alternate Hole 3! He took home $79 & added an early 30 points to his league standing. Awesome throw man!
