This tournament had spots reserved in each of those divisions to ensure players at those levels would be able to play. You can go look at those divisions and see 21 players in MA50 and 11 players at MA60. They have women registered at almost every level of amateur, and 13 juniors currently registered after holding their spots open for several months. We have a high demand for tournaments in this area, particularly during this part of the year, and the organizer of this event did a very good job of creating a system to ensure those who wanted to play would be able to. If you missed out, it’s because you didn’t play the tour stops (which was a condition laid out back in September) and you didn’t register early when it opened to the general public. This TD has given people at every level a very fair and clear chance to play.

Totally understand part of what you are saying. I guess what I would love to see happen more often is holding spots open till near the date of the tournament. Clearly there are plenty of people in that pool etc that could fill spots. It’s interesting because currently there isn’t a large group represented at this time because those that started early on are let's be honest, are aging. This won’t be a problem to the large population that plays currently since the numbers will be MUCH larger 10-20 years from now. ANYHOOOOO, not a perfect world. Xoxo
