As there are some questions, let me clarify things. Don Shinn moved into an area in Wildomar called "The Farm". The Duncan's live on the same block as Don did. Glenn, being the consummate repair man, helped Don with many projects while Maxine spent time visiting with Nancy, his 95-year-old wife. During an argument over Don wanting to pay Glenn for his time, Maxine suggested tags and disc for Don to hand out to his many admirers. So did Glenn pay for the first round or did Don, who knows? But the second round was paid for by those that purchased items at the club store. Don LOVED signing the disc! During his 100th birthday celebration at the course his wife, daughter, and granddaughter were delighted to find out what a celebrity Don was at Mountain Pride. The day Don set his record at Reidy Creek, Nancy had made a feast for Don to share with his closest friends at the course. During the ride home, Don said so many wise words but the one that always stuck with me was, "A tournament was like a galaxy of stars." He knew we were planning a larger tournament for his 101, and I am certain he will be smiling down on this event.
