The criteria to run a DGPT tournament allows for an associated amateur event alongside the DGPT as long as it does not interfere with the main event. We have decided not to offer professional age-protected divisions based on the DGPT Event & Venue Expectations document provided by the DGPT. We have chosen to follow the DGPT's guidance as best we can. We cannot speak for the other DGPT events and their decisions.

They have answered this in the A-Tier page. Different standards for a DGPT vs. the NT which the tournament has been in previous years. They were limited in the number of players they could accommodate, and the Pro-Aged Protected divsions were not included this year as a result.
