recap

Nice weather, fresh raspberries, and ChrisZ brought free sodas. Does it get any better than that?

21 players

Uber team Waymon/Peyton played bogie-free and got 6 birdies, including both baskets over the creek. I got teamed with Dub and took Zuel's dollar. We faced Jon and Chris who made the trrek from Scarboro Hills to get some freestate points. It wasn't close but it was a lot of fun. We played bogie-free and got 6 birdies.

Playoff!

It was getting dark so we limited it ... more

Jerman's birthday

Jerman's birthday. The heat index was 105 degrees and thunderstorms were expected.

At 5:24 Dr Evil says he's on the way and at 5:47 comes lumbering down the path like a runaway boulder. Its time to draw.

23 players, again.

This week I marked the scorecards correctly and we play the Rumble 2nd round layout, including 9 long and 12 from the road.

Waymon and Zoots face off against the Mikes (Peyton and Texas). Both teams play bogie-free and take turkeys on 12, 13, 14. Waym ... more

recap

The course was mowed and looked great. Rhen came out for his 1st crack at doubles and brought free sodas. I messed up the scorecards and marked 8A, not C, so it wasn't the same layout as the rumble 2nd round. Oh well, maybe next week.

23 players

RyanD and Keith took a four on 4 and had 9 deuces. 46 was good for 2nd place & $3. I have the money so the next time they show it will pay for their entry.

Waymon and 7 had 9 deuces and no fours. 1st place put $33 in their pocket ... more

late may

5:45 draw. We'll play the rumble round 2 retro. Last weekend TK tossed 1028 rated 47 with this layout. It'll be interesting to see if any doubles repeat that feat.

recap

Did a little shuffle prepping for the Rumble. The course could use a mowing though.

16 players.

Ox's card finished about 15 mins after everyone else. (He had to be dying.) Ox and Keith Brace went bogie free and finished with a 49. Two teams tied at 51 so they took all the cash.

Thanks for coming out. See you next week.

recap

11 players.

A clear, cool evening. Sharky and I were on the same card and when we got back to 18 no one was there. Could it be that two slow players finished first or did everyone get tired of waiting and just leave? Turns out we finished second.

Waymon was drawn schitzo and played against JPro and Texas Mike. They finished with a pair of 50s.

Playoff!

Four playoff holes and they were still tied so they split the cash. That's 3 wins in a row for Waymon. TNT, Calvert, Rockburn. Does it count as a trifecta if its not in the same week?

recap

Josh says play it long and D(istance) wants to know if it includes oxen ho. It does. 3 cards birdie (4) it. (last year that meant you got your entry back) 13d was almost a star frame. One team missed. The rock played tough and the avg score was 53. Two teams tied for 2nd at 52. Jared and Zain tore it up. Birdied 3a 4b 9a 13d 15c 16b 17a and finished with a 50. Winners pocket 18 dirty dollas. Thanks for running it Josh.

See you next week. 5;30 draw.

this week's recap

We picked up a Pazani pie and got there early. Shoveled some crush and then had a bite atop HOCO before we moved the crush to 7.

So we're warming up on 18 and some guy asks why 17 is never in A. I say "who are you" (thinking he's radarx, he's not). Peyton chimes in that he likes 17 in A also. Ok. Jimmy and Peyton move 17.

19 players. The course pro and superintendent were paired up against Witak and Workman and I'm thinking this is gonna be a fun round. ... more
