Nice weather, fresh raspberries, and ChrisZ brought free sodas. Does it get any better than that?

21 players

Uber team Waymon/Peyton played bogie-free and got 6 birdies, including both baskets over the creek. I got teamed with Dub and took Zuel's dollar. We faced Jon and Chris who made the trrek from Scarboro Hills to get some freestate points. It wasn't close but it was a lot of fun. We played bogie-free and got 6 birdies.

Playoff!

It was getting dark so we limited it to one playoff hole. One's tee to two's basket. Joe went down to spot for our rollers. We were out and threw a walk saver. Peyton's roller was about 70 ft away. 2 good bids but they also took a 3.

The no fee CTP was Shiner beers bucket with a couple of cold ones. Waymon won but neglected to get it and the cold ones disappeared.

23 players, again.

This week I marked the scorecards correctly and we play the Rumble 2nd round layout, including 9 long and 12 from the road.

Waymon and Zoots face off against the Mikes (Peyton and Texas). Both teams play bogie-free and take turkeys on 12, 13, 14. Waymon and Zoots prevail and finish 8 under with a 46.

Witak and Jerman also played bogie-free, took the turkey on 12, 13, 14 and finished with a 46.

PLAYOFF!

1st playoff hole is one's tee to two's basket. Both team's upshots are within 15 ft of the basket. Solid 3s. 2nd playoff hole is the road by 6's tee to 18 long. Its probably an 800 ft hole. Karl throws back to back bombs, putting them just past one's tee with a long tight look at the basket through the vines and trees. Waymon and Z's 3rd throw gets tangled in the barrier leaving them a turbo putt from about 45 ft. They miss and take a 5. Karl puts his rock under the basket on the 3rd throw. Easy 4. Happy Birthday Jerman!

RyanD and Keith took a four on 4 and had 9 deuces. 46 was good for 2nd place & $3. I have the money so the next time they show it will pay for their entry.

Waymon and 7 had 9 deuces and no fours. 1st place put $33 in their pockets. That's Waymon's 2nd win in a row, and 3 out of 4 for the month of May with one 2nd place. And the only 2 times 7's been out this year?...two 1st places with 45.

The ace pot went over $100 and nobody hit one. Thanks to everyone for coming out and a special thanks to my card mates, BB Nick Tommy, for carrying the broom and sweeeping all the teepads. See you next Wednesday.

A clear, cool evening. Sharky and I were on the same card and when we got back to 18 no one was there. Could it be that two slow players finished first or did everyone get tired of waiting and just leave? Turns out we finished second.

Waymon was drawn schitzo and played against JPro and Texas Mike. They finished with a pair of 50s.

Four playoff holes and they were still tied so they split the cash. That's 3 wins in a row for Waymon. TNT, Calvert, Rockburn. Does it count as a trifecta if its not in the same week?

One team missed. The rock played tough and the avg score was 53. Two teams tied for 2nd at 52. Jared and Zain tore it up. Birdied 3a 4b 9a 13d 15c 16b 17a and finished with a 50. So we're warming up on 18 and some guy asks why 17 is never in A. I say "who are you" (thinking he's radarx, he's not). Peyton chimes in that he likes 17 in A also. Ok. Jimmy and Peyton move 17.

19 players. The course pro and superintendent were paired up against Witak and Workman and I'm thinking this is gonna be a fun round. it was. Josh's dad rolled with us and extolled his West Virginia wisdom. We start on 9 and Josh parks a hammer. We're down a stroke. They birdied the alley (13, 14, 15) and stayed bogie-free til we got to one. andother 4 on 7 and they finished with a 50.

1st payoff hole is one's tee to two's basket. JPro tees and tosses a bomb into 2's walkway but is stymied behind brush and has no shot. RyanD's roller doesn't quite stand up and ends up in a prickly bush. Their flicks come up short and they pocket $3. Team Witak takes a 3 and $25.
