RULES FOR DUBS @ WILLOW PARK
- Best shot format (unless otherwise noted during the check-in meeting)
- NO 2 meter penalty. Mark your lie below the disc. 2 min limit on disc retrieval.
- All PDGA courtesy and stance rules apply.
- If any group has to skip a hole or holes because of safety reasons (i.e. sports practice in the way, car parked in the line of throw, large picnic group set up near a basket, etc), then all other groups will disregard any throws made on that hole (yes, even aces). All cards will record a par score for that hole or holes.
- THE TRENT RULES- a) If your partner cannot drive consistently over 225 feet, then you may take an extra drive at every hole. b) Two players who fit the Trent rule cannot be partners; c) players who fit the Trent rule cannot be the Cali man.
- 2 points for showing up, 1 point for every person you beat that week. +10 points for an ace.
- Best 7 scores out of the possible 10 scores will count for your final cumulative score for the session.
Cali Rules for the Odd Dog (the odd man out):
- "A" player Odd Dog gets one extra shot per hole, drive or upshots ONLY, and choice of best shot.
- "B" player Odd Dog gets one extra shot per par 3 hole, two extra shots for par 4s, and choice of the best shot (may not use both extras from same lie).
- If the person who draws the Odd Dog chip does not want it or does not qualify to play as a Cali man, then any other interested player may volunteer for the honor. Volunteers will flip discs to see who wins the Odd Dog Chip.
Stoppage of play due to weather
Rain is not a reason to stop play, suck it up Buttercup!! However, if thunder/lightning is present we need to do the following:
1. Once thunder is heard, be on the lookout for lightning.
2. Once the first lightning flash is seen, mark your lie and proceed quickly to the pavilion.(Make sure everyone notes the strokes they've taken on the incomplete hole.) We'll wait it out until it's gone or we run out of daylight needed to finish.
3. If we cannot continue and the majority(50% or more) of teams have COMPLETED 12 holes we will consider it a full round.
4. If the majority have NOT COMPLETED 12 holes we will not award points for the night. All ace $$ will stay in the kitty.
