This is an 8-week PDGA sanctioned singles league. Flex start option beginning at 3 p.m. All rounds must be completed by 9 p.m.
Entry fee is $30 for the season with a $5 donation from each entry fee contributed to the Ox Bow Course Improvement Fundraiser. Players may choose the pay-as-you-go weekly entry fee of $7. All pay-as-you-go players will have $5 of their first weekly fee contributed to the course improvement fund. All players must be registered prior to their first round.
Ratings-based divisions with all registered players also receiving PDGA MA1 points for each round.
All players are responsible for park entry and daily disc golf fees. Annual passes for disc golf and park entry are on sale at the gatehouse for $40 combo.
To maximize play during the spring season, we will be playing 18-24 holes each week. The layouts will vary to allow for any ongoing course maintenance and add variety. The layout for the coming week will be posted 48 hours before that week's league night.
Ratings-based Divisions
Each player will compete in a division corresponding to their PDGA rating. Those who do not have a rating may compete in the Purple Division. Players DO NOT need to be a PDGA member to participate. Players may compete in a high rated division if they choose. The Women's division is protected. However, female players have to option to play in a rated division as well. Any pro classified players must register for the Gold Division.
Divisions:
Gold - PDGA rating over 970 (plus all pros)
Blue - < 970 rating
White - < 935 rating
Red - < 900 rating
Green - < 850 rating
Purple - < 800 rating or unrated player
Women - any rating. Pro women will compete in rated division
League Points: All players will compete for a points championship within their division. At the conclusion of the league, division champions will be determined by a league points system. The top SIX of EIGHT scoring weeks for each competitor will be used to determine the division standings and overall champion. Players earn ONE point for each player in their division they beat and/or tie plus THREE points for participation.
Payout: Top third in each division. A la carte players must play at least four rounds to be included in the overall payouts. At the League Administrators discretion, the top third may be adjusted based on the number of full time (four rounds or more) players in a particular division.
Flex-start and scoring: We will utilize the PDGA live scoring application. All players will be required to play in a group wherein at least one member has access to the scoring platform. Those choosing to play a flex-start round must (a) have registered for the league (b) paid their registration fee (c) play on the same Monday as the rest of the league that week and (d) play in a group of at least three and no more than five total players on the card.
